COME DOWN TO THE WOODS TODAY!
Published: 30 May 2014
Poulton Wood nature reserve, part of the Canterbury Oast Trust and Rare Breeds Centre, is holding its annual Woodland Open Day on June 7th 2014 between 11am and 6pm to raise funds for the upkeep of this 30 acre site. The woodland is freely open to the general public 365 days a year and is a haven of peace and tranquillity, interrupted only by the Rangers who attend the site during the week to develop their life-skills through learning woodcraft.
This is a great family day out with a small admission cost of £2.50 for adults and £1.50 for children and OAPs which covers our costs of staging the event. This promises to be a fun packed family day out with lots of activities and demonstrations including archery, musicians, morris men, pond-dipping, face painting, felt making, spinning and much more!
Food is available to buy and includes cakes, ice-creams and a BBQ- keep your fingers crossed for great weather!
Poulton Wood can be found on Forge Hill on the edge of the picturesque village of Aldington, TN25 7DT.
