Easter Fun - Lambing at the Rare Breeds Centre!
Published: 28 March 2014
Here at The Rare Breeds we are getting very excited about the arrival of the first lambs, which are due from the middle of March. By the time the school holiday’s start we will have plenty of babies for you all to see and more lambs due to be born throughout April and the Easter break….you may even be lucky enough to see a lamb being born!
Saturday 5th April marks the start of our infamous pig racing season, the Grand National has NOTHING on us….our new seasons racers are a cross between Tamworth and Gloucester Old Spot, chosen especially for their speed and agility…we hope. Don’t miss this, it’s great fun and you could even be picked to run with the pigs!!
On Saturday 12th and Sunday 13th our very own Easter Bunny will be here to help the kids with the chocolate hunt all around the farm …what a great adventure!
And over the Easter weekend the Easter Bunny returns to help the kids with the choccy hunt, we also have our fantastic Easter Show…Bella’s Most Magical Adventure…the kids will be enthralled as Bella goes on an exciting inter-active adventure…who knows what will happen……you just have to visit and see what happens!
All this and the usual fun of the farm, including Meet the Animals (and maybe feeding lambs) and Creepy Crawlies, Falconry displays, trailer rides and exciting outdoor and indoor play areas. (Some activities are subject to weather conditions). Plus our beautiful woodland walks, possibly through the bluebells up to the Secret Lake ….why not take a picnic or you can eat yummy food at very reasonable prices in The Granary restaurant….
Happy holidays….see you very soon!
