Canterbury Oast Trust is delighted that Nurse Plus, Ashford branch have again sponsored their annual Problematic Quiz Night for the seventh year in a row. The £500 sponsorship covers the cost of the much loved quiz as well as a significant donation for the Trust towards one of its projects.
Hosts Ken and Debbie Chappell whose son Chris has been a resident at the Trust for 21 years have put on over 559 quiz nights up and down the country to companies and community groups. The pair have almost raised a staggering £182,000* since 1992 with all funds going to a project of their choice at the Canterbury Oast Trust.
This year the energetic couple are donating all quiz night funds to one of Canterbury Oast Trust’s training projects, the Rare Breeds Centre. The donations will to go towards the cost of improving the animal accomodation.
Nancy from Nurse Plus Ashford is delighted that her and her colleagues can support a local charity to achieve its aims, ‘I am chuffed with how much money it is possible to raise whilst having so much fun at the same time! We are all so proud to be a part of Canterbury Oast Trust!’
